Alone the alpha stands crying in the wilderness,
Better off alone am I says she, never to hurt ones I love.
Cautious approaches another knowing she'll snarl him gone.
Daring he approaches as she snarled, knowing with his kindness her heart he's won.
Eagerly others approach her, no longer alone is she.
Finally she gives in, alpha wolf realizes a lesson.
Goodness comes in any form,
Helping her heal through the pain.
Ice slowly melts off her long frozen heart.
Just as she thinks things can't get any better,
Kindness has brought her a pack,
Lovingly she realizes
Most die without this revelation
Now alpha wolf knows and
One by one each wolf
Proclaims the truth
The strength of the pack may be the wolf,
But without the pack the lone wolf would starve.
Let the pack in, a group is so much better.
The strength of the pack may be the wolf
But you see, the strength of the wolf is the pack.
And that's a fact.
